The house, Villa Dolomiti, was built by the then owner Giovanni Demetz (called Giuani da Iman) in 1929, a famous and appreciated pioneer of the Alpine Guides of Val Gardena.

It was an architecturally innovative and decidedly luxurious and comfortable budding for those times: as a matter of fact, famous personages from politics and show business who were accompanied by Demetz during their ascents on the suggestive paths of the incomparable Dolomites used to stay there.

Giuani's passion for the mountains was transmitted to his sons. Enrico Demetz, the smallest of them developed a particular love for the skiing, which brought him from the most steep and difficult slopes to the italian national ski team. Beside some very good results, he was known especially for his outstanding clean and very elegant style which allowed him to participate  3 times at the world-ski-teacher-demonstration Interski.

As the today's owner, Enrico was always concerned in renovating the Villa Dolomiti paying respect to the harmony of the outside view and improving the warm and refined style of the interior.
During the latest renovation in the year 2008, the ground floor was transformed into a comfortable and bright apartment with a well-manicured lawn and garden which offers a panoramic view of the majestic Sassolungo group.
