The Ciampinoi webcam is located at 2.280 m above sea level at the top station of the Selva - Ciampinoi cable car. This is also the start of the "Saslong" World Cup downhill course. The run takes its name from the Sassolungo, in Ladin "Saslonch", which casts its shadow over the ski area in winter and appears close enough to touch on the webcam. To the left of it, you can see part of the Sella Group, as well as the Col Rodella and Piz Sella ski areas. To the right of the Sassolungo, with good visibility, you can see the Alpe di Siusi and the unmistakable Sciliar behind it.

The Ciampinoi webcam then pans over the family-friendly Monte Pana ski area and the villages of Ortisei, located at the mouth of the Val Gardena valley, and S. Cristina, the middle village in the heart of the Val Gardena valley. On the other side of the valley, you can see the Resciesa Alp above Ortisei and the Mountain Pic, just above S. Cristina. On the right edge of the frame, you can see the Seceda and Col Raiser skiing and hiking area.
