The Tourist offices of the valley organise more different events during the winter and summer months:

Also this year, Val Gardena takes a very special initiative for the go-ahead of winter season: the "Val Gardena Christmas Weekends"

Val Gardena wants to bring into the valley a pre-Christmas atmosphere through the exhibition of cribs made out of wood.

The sheltered workshop "Locia" for handicapped people organizes its traditional Christmas fair.

Another interesting and very nice event is the typical Val Gardena "Christkindlmarkt" (Christmas Market).

This year, too, Val Gardena is going to welcome the Alpine Ski World Cup.
A men's super-G and a downhill competition are waiting for you.

"Iceshow" in a Christmas atmosphere! Apart from the young talents, there will perform the famous figure skater Carolina Kostner, an other famous figure skater and a couple of skaters.

Also this year it will be a snow sculpture competition in Val Gardena.

"Val Gardena Sprint" a unique event to admire the best and most famous cross-country skiers of the world this year in the center of Selva.

7nd Edition of the Ice Sculpture Competition in collaboration with the art school of Ortisei.

Sunday, 18th January 2009: 7th edition of the snowshoe race on the Monte Pana (S. Cristina). Enrolments and information regarding the event at the S. Cristina Tourist Office.
A unique experience for all participants.

At the 18th february 2009 at 9 p.m. in Vallunga Selva Val Gardena takes place the traditional night-Skikjöring. 16 horses, draging 16 skiers will start.

An exceptional event in the magic atmosphere of the Vallunga.

International Touring Ski night competition
Sellaronda Skimarathon, the famous international touring ski competition, has come to his 15th edition.

An extraordinary high level is guaranteed by the international competitors of this competition. It takes place every year and attracts lots of national and international interest.

On 05th April 2009 takes place the 13th edition of "Südtirol Gardenissima", with 6 km the longest giant slalom of the Dolomites. Last year more than 500 skiers took part at this particular race.
