News of Val Gardena (Italy)

The internet portal "www.skigebiete-test.de" distinguished Val Gardena also for 2010 as "TOP" ski area for families and beginners.

On April, 11th 2010 in Val Gardena all the lifts have been closed. See you again on December, 4th 2010 when the winter season 2010/2011 starts again.

Also in summer Val Gardena offers unforgettable moments in the mid of wonderful mountains. Both on foot or on mountainbike you will never forget the view on these breathtaking landscape.

In Val Gardena the winter season 2010/2011 starts on December, 4th 2010. From this day on the Sella Ronda will be open, too, promising some unforgettable moments on the most beautiful slopes of the Dolomites.
In the meanwhile enjoy the summer and have some nice and relaxing months.

Val Gardena was honored also this year as one of the most beautiful skiresorts of the world!

Following a publication of the Italian newspaper "Il Sole 24 ore", Val Gardena has some of the "10 TOP" ski slopes in Italy.

ANWB, the National Tourist Association of Netherlands declared Selva and Val Gardena as one of the top skiing destinations of Italy.

What is more beautiful as spending a relaxing afternoon after a nice but intensive ski-day? The magical word is wellness!

On the mountains the first snow has already fallen and thanks to the low temperatures the first snow-making facilities are perfectly working.

Skiers and snowboarders can enjoy the following new lifts and improvements for 2009/10:

• Ciampinoi (only available in italian)
  12-seater Cable car "Ciampinoi" (2400 p/h) replaces cable car.
  
• Telemix (mix cable car chairs/cabines)
  Replaces existing chair lift "Bullaccia"; the lift will be extended for 300 m.
