UP CLOSE
Anastasia Kostner_IT/NL
Performance
Italian Premiere
The Alps Move dance theatre festival presents Up Close, a performance by Val Gardena dancer and choreographer Anastasia Kostner. Nine performers move within a space that eliminates the traditional separation between audience and stage, creating an immersive dance performance that explores proximity, perception, and the delicate balance between the individual and the collective.
Audience and performers share the same space, encountering one another in an environment where gazes, breaths, and the slightest movements become part of the choreography. The work explores how proximity transforms our perception and what dynamics emerge when people move together within the same space.
Within this complex and layered choreographic organism, each performer retains their own identity, while individual voices and movements gradually intertwine to form a collective body, constructed with rigorous compositional precision.
