The Lenert Sculpture Workshop (1877–1953)

Rudolf and Ludwig Moroder tells the story of one of Val Gardena’s most important artistic workshops of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Through sculptures, drawings, plaster models, photographs, documents, and archival materials, the exhibition traces the artistic journey of Rudolf and Ludwig Moroder while illustrating how a workshop successfully combined creativity, outstanding craftsmanship, and entrepreneurial vision. At the same time, the exhibition looks to the present and the future of Val Gardena’s sculptural tradition, highlighting how the wealth of knowledge, techniques, and artistic sensitivity developed over centuries continues to be passed on, reinterpreted, and renewed by new generations of artists.
