The Dolomites were added on Friday, 26th of June 2009 to UNESCO's world heritage list.

On Sunday, 12th July 2009 the Dolomites’ passes around the Sellagroup (Sella, Gardena, Pordoi and Campolongo) will be closed for motorized traffic from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The mountain passes will be accessible for cyclists only.
