Spring Race Party

Celebrate the end of winter season with us at the annual Spring Race Party! Held every year in March, this iconic event has quickly become a favorite amongst locals and tourists alike.
Teams of six people can take part in the Spring Race, which starts at the top of Seceda and ends in downtown Ortisei. Since this is the part of the year where the slopes are still great but the weather is warm and the sun is (hopefully!) shining, a great time is guaranteed to all participants. The best part? There is a prize for the best dressed team, so most participants will make a special effort to come up with spectacular masks!

But hold on - the Spring Race is not all about speed. On the way to town, the teams actually have to stop at several mountain huts and perform in mini-games to the best of their skill. A combination of time and points will finally determine the winners!

The fun certainly doesn’t end when the race is over. Local DJs make sure that the celebration in Ortisei’s town center will go on until well into the night. Even if you’re not participating in the race, you’ll have a great time hanging out at the finish line as the teams arrive!

The Spring Race Party has arguably established itself as Val Gardena’s top event in March. Don’t miss it – but be sure to enlist as early as you can, as spaces are limited and in huge demand!
