At the mountain station of the Col Raiser cable car, a panoramic view of the surrounding Dolomite peaks awaits you that puts cinematic experiences to shame. Here, at an altitude of 2,100 metres, you are directly below the clouds. The Col Raiser ski area offers winter sports enthusiasts ideal conditions for a wide range of activities on the slopes. Col Raiser hikes

The Col Raiser mountain station is the perfect starting point for hikes in one of Val Gardena's most beautiful hiking areas. Directly behind the mountain station is an information board with plenty of ideas for hikes of varying length and difficulty. Start from Col Raiser in the direction of the Rifugio Firenze, hike to Seceda, Mountain Pic or Sass Rigais, or put together your own tour. The climb to Sass Rigais, which you can reach via a challenging via ferrata, is a very special experience.

Col Raiser cable car

The Col Raiser cable car is a modern mountain railway that takes you from the northeastern outskirts of Santa Cristina in Val Gardena to the Col Raiser mountain station in just a few minutes. Here you can enjoy a short break on the panoramic terrace of the Almhotel before exploring the picturesque hiking area. There is a large car park at the valley station of the cable car where you can easily park your car.

Col Raiser huts

Col Raiser is located in the centre of one of the most beautiful hiking and skiing areas in Val Gardena. The Almhotel Col Raiser is located at the top station of the Col Raiser mountain railway and also operates a mountain restaurant where mountaineers, hikers and skiers can stop for refreshments. The Odles Hut, which is located directly behind the Almhotel Col Raiser, offers simple, traditional South Tyrolean cuisine with fresh ingredients from its own farm and is a great place to visit, especially for families with children.

Nearby huts

In the immediate vicinity of the Col Raiser mountain station are the cosy Ciaulonch Hut, the popular Gamsblut Hut built in 1967, the Neidia Hut, famous for its views, and the Cuca Hut, where guests are welcomed not only with delicious food but also with rousing disco music.

You can reach Col Raiser with the Col Raiser mountain railway. The valley station is located on the northeastern edge of Santa Cristina in Val Gardena. How do you get to the Seceda?

You can reach the Seceda either on foot or by cable car. The approximately 8.5-kilometre-long hiking trail from Ortisei to Seceda is very beautiful. Alternatively, we recommend a ride on the Ortisei-Furnes mountain railway followed by a 4.5 km hike to the summit of the Seceda. It is also possible to change to the cable car in Furnes, which takes you almost all the way up to the viewing platform on the Seceda summit.
