Val Gardena's landmark
The Sassolungo (Ladin "Saslonch", German "Langkofel") is the main peak of the Sassolungo Group in South Tyrol. To the east, the mountain range borders the Alpe di Siusi. Numerous well-known ski resorts are located at the foot of the famous Sassolungo, which is a popular destination for climbers, hikers and holidaymakers in Val Gardena in summer.
