Tip: If you're looking for a four star hotel with an above-average wine card, Hotel Touring is the best pick in Santa Cristina.

Hotel Grien

If you love good food and wine, then the "Gourmet & Panoramahotel" Grien is just right for you. The owners Rainer and Monika have been collecting valuable and well-known "labels" for many years, as well as those from smaller productions and lesser-known winegrowers, and in the meantime over 700 different wines are maturing towards their peak in the cellar. Sniffing through the wine list is really fun. The wine list is also interesting because of the many old vintages of white and red wines from all over the world. The owners are happy to advise you on the choice of wine.

Huts

Sofie Hut

Markus Prinoth, the owner of the Sofie Hut has assembled a formidable wine collection in his mountain hut. The cellar itself is a sight to behold. From local specialties to decades old French wines, you won’t be disappointed by the wine list here. The food is great, too!

Fienile Monte

Fienile Monte, a little hut on the Sellaronda. is one of the top dining destinations on Val Gardena’s slopes. The food is great and the wine selection is nice, too. They label themselves as “probably the most expensive chalet in the Dolomites” though – you have been warned!

Tip: Fienile boasts the best sparkling wine list on the slopes of Val Gardena.

Daniel Hut

The Daniel Hut features an extended wine selection. It’s not as high-end as the other two huts on this list, but the card is long enough to guarantee you will find something to your liking. The sundeck of the Daniel Hut is one of the best in Val Gardena, so this is the perfect place to kick back and enjoy an aperitif!
