Freeride & Bikeparks Val Gardena

The Val Gardena mountain bike region is home to several bike parks and trails at an altitude of between 700 and 2,450 metres with the Trail Arena Val Gardena, where freeride lovers will get their money's worth. All trails impress with wonderful views of the surrounding Dolomite peaks. The flow trails and bike parks in the region are known for being creatively designed and perfectly maintained. Particularly positive is the fact that you will find trails of all levels of difficulty and that beginners or families with children, as well as experienced freeriders, will find the ideal challenge.

Access to the flow trails and bike parks is via numerous cable cars and lifts where you can usually also comfortably transport your mountain bike. If the Ciampinoi freeride route or the flow trails at Dantercepies are not enough for you, you can reach numerous other regions of the Dolomiti Bike Galaxy from Val Gardena with a cheap ticket.

Ticket prices

With your ticket for the Trail Arena Val Gardena, you can use the lifts Dantercepies, Cir, Piz Seteur, Gran Paradiso, Ciampinoi, Piza Pranseies and Costabella without restrictions and transport your bike comfortably. Children and young people between the ages of 9 and 16 pay the low junior price and children up to the age of 9 ride for free.

Freeride Ciampinoi

For freeride fans and other experienced mountain bikers, the Freeride Ciampinoi trail was created just above Selva. The Ciampinoi Bike Park is located at an altitude of 2,254 metres at the mountain station of the Ciampinoi cable car. First, you'll ride down a 550-metre-long gravel stretch to reach the start of the downhill track at the Ciampinoi chairlift, which requires a great deal of courage and skill! Over a length of 3 kilometres, you will climb 568 metres in altitude. At the end of this adrenaline-packed route, you will find the Pra Valentini Hut, where you can stop for refreshments. Helmet, back, elbow and leg protection is compulsory on the route! Tickets are available at the cable car and at the tourist office in Selva (phone: +39 0471 777900).

Dantercepies Bike Park & Flowtrails

Directly below the imposing peaks of the Puez Group, the Dantercepies Bike Park and Flowtrails are the ideal areas for trail lovers. Conquer the few metres in altitude to the starting point at the Dantercepies mountain station on your mountain bike or take the cable car and get ready for your next descent on flowing trails amid a unique panorama.

Dantercepies Bike Trail "Cir Giara"

The 1.6-kilometre-long Dantercepies Cir Giara Bike Trail is a flow trail that will delight beginners and experienced mountain bikers alike who want to enjoy a fast pace and lots of airtime. The trail is located between the top station of the Dantercepies cable car/the top station of the Cir chairlift (2,300 m) and the Gardena Pass (2,120 m). The track is not steep but will thrill you with numerous curves, bumps and jumps. Smaller elevations and rocks provide plenty of variety.

Dantercepies Bike Trail "Cir Tiera"

The approximately 1.39-kilometre-long flow trail is ideal for experienced children, ambitious beginners and trail fans who love to get into a flow. From the top station of the Dantercepies cable car, the Cir Tiera bike trail leads down to the middle station. Get ready for long curves and hills where you can practice jumps. After the descent, the cable car takes you back to the starting point in a relaxed manner.

Sassolungo Bike Park - Piz Seteur

Two wonderful trails await you in the Sassolungo Bike Park: a 3.5-kilometre-long, winding Family Trail and a 2.2-kilometre-long Easy Jump Trail with an 8.3% gradient. The starting point is the mountain station of the Piz Seteur cable car above Selva. If that is too short for you, you can combine the two trails with the Paravis Trail.

Paravis Trail

The 2.8-kilometre-long Paravis Trail is located above the trails of the Sassolungo Bike Park. The trail is easy and offers you not only a fantastic flow but also an unbelievably beautiful view of the Sella Group and the Sassolungo. How to get there: from Plan de Gralba, take the Piz Seteur cable car and then the Gran Paradiso chairlift. From Selva take the Ciampinoi cable car, follow the path to the Comici Hut and from here take the Gran Paradiso chairlift down.

The Family Trail in the Sassolungo Bike Park is classified as moderately difficult but is wonderfully suitable as a trail for the whole family. The wonderful Flow Trail leads you over a distance of 3.5 kilometres from the mountain station of the Piz Seteur cable car to Plan de Gralba. Experienced mountain bikers also appreciate the flowing line, which can also be ridden at higher speeds.

What do you need for the bike park?

Besides a suitable bike, you need appropriate clothing and protective equipment for the bike park. This means that in addition to a jersey, shorts and bike shoes, you definitely need a helmet. A full-face helmet is highly recommended. Knee and elbow pads are also essential, as are cycling gloves.

What kind of bike do I need in a bike park?

You will definitely need a mountain bike in a bike park. Downhill bikes are very popular, but freeride bikes and enduro bikes can also be used on the trails. When you rent your mountain bike in a bike rental shop in Val Gardena, it is best to tell them that you also want to ride in the bike park.

Bressanone Bike Park

Since 2018, mountain bikers have been venturing onto the four fantastic lines in the Bressanone Bike Park on the Plose, which start at the mountain station of the Plose cable car. The difficulty levels of the lines range from green to black. Accordingly, children and beginners as well as pros love the Whistler feeling and the flow of these individual trails.

Bike Beats - Alta Badia Trails

Alta Badia in Val Badia offers mountain bikers a whole range of wonderful trails on earth and sand tracks with the Bike Beats. The trail starts at the Piz Sorega mountain station near San Cassiano.
